The System is Broken, Duh. Now What?

We all know the system is broken. Government spending is a out of control. There is no accountability. Our tax dollars vanish into bureaucracy. Instead of complaining, let’s discuss a solution—Public Interest.

Transparency and Accountability: Would you participate?

Imagine knowing where your tax dollars go. Public Interest makes this possible. By entering your income, tax info, and spending habits, you can see where your money goes. You get a breakdown of where your taxes go, including public salaries to police, fire fighters, politicians and projects. Simple visuals like pie charts make this easy to understand.

Have questions?

Can’t stand my arrogance? Think I’m a lunatic? Let’s talk.

Empowering the Everyday Citizen

With Public Interest, you don’t just pay taxes; you engage with your money. By subscribing to a public tax in your area, you can track your debts and income, but also you can earn interest on your taxes while contributing to projects in your area that may effect you.

The Power of Decentralized Finance

Public Interest is about more than transparency. It empowers communities with decentralized finance. Members can contribute what they can afford. Thus, they support local projects while managing their finances. The more you contribute, the more influence and rewards you get.

True Community Engagement

Public Interest offers more than financial tools. Additionally, it can include homeschooling resources. It can let community members propose and vote on local projects. This way, important projects get the funding and attention they need with your vote. A vote that is verifiable on the blockchain.

Accountability Through Technology

By using blockchain technology, Public Interest ensures transparency. Every transaction and vote is secure. As a result, this reduces fraud and corruption. Your money is used well.

The Future of Governance

Public Interest can transform governance. Like Uber nearly replaced taxis, it makes political structures more accountable and efficient. If successful, this model can inspire similar systems worldwide. Therefore, it leads to a more democratic world.

Join in promoting Public Interest.

The system is broken, but Public Interest can fix it. This platform makes governance transparent and accountable. Therefore, it’s about seeing where your money goes and being part of the decision-making process.

Transform the future of governance with Public Interest. It’s our duty to ensure a better future for our children and communities. Let’s make a difference—one vote, one contribution, one community at a time.

Why WordPress + Elementor is better than SquareSpace & Wix

You’re deciding whether you want to build a website right? Heard all those ads on everyones podcast about how great it is? Sure, it’s good but if you’re a tweaker, like you will not settle for anything less than your vision, then consider a more affordable and Frankenstein way to build your website with WordPress and download and install the Elementor plug in for a user friendly drag and drop experience.

Don’t feel confused, follow along it’s simple.

  1. Find an affordable domain and WordPress management hosting service: Ionos.com & Bluehost.com are my favorite.
  2. Purchase the WordPress plan thats like $5.00 a month – They’ll install it for you leaving all the nerd work out of it.
  3. Search for a plugin called Elementor and install it and activate it.
  4. Edit your home page, there will be a button that says edit with Elementor. Click edit.

You will be greeted with a very user friendly drag and drop interface that allows you edit for all sized devices. The free version is great, but since I like it so much I bought the pro version to further customize styling.

Build out an entire website using their Theme Builder, it overrides any WordPress theme. Choose a header or footer template or create one from scratch. My favorite thing is being able to style the blog any way you like. The blog page and the blog post itself at the root level completely overriding any weird built in theme styling you thought you had to live with.

Honestly, if your on a budget you can find a domain, hosting and a WordPress website far more affordably with Ionos.com than SquareSpace or Wix. However I am running into some styling issues with the WooCommerce plugin that allows you to turn your blog into an e-commerce store.

WooCommerce does not work seamlessly with Elementor. Although they say it does, it has its limits. I’d like to be able to style the variation box and the View Cart message. They stick you with one style and you got to go Frankenstein some CSS.

I’ll conclude by saying this is about saving money if you’re just starting out with a website. I prefer it over SquareSpace and Wix, but if I was primarily focusing on a store I’d choose Shopify.
